Garden coaching is for those who are interested in a DIY approach but aren’t sure where to begin. Sessions include a virtual or in-person discussion of your goals and a thorough writeup of:

• Detailed analysis of your garden

• Custom plant lists

• Recommended materials and techniques

• Design advice and sketches

Initial consult: $150; with detailed writeup: $300. Follow-up coaching: $75/hr, two hour minimum.

Design

I design gardens using lessons and aesthetics derived from wild ecosystems with a focus on your enjoyment of your outdoor space. Designs include to-scale drawings of your project, and:

• Custom plant lists

• Recommended sources

• Quantities, sizes, and spacing of materials

• Concept drawings

Full property plans $1,000 to $2,000; partial property plans $800; $800 minimum.

Planting

Proper spacing, planting, and establishment watering are crucial to the long-term resiliency of your new garden. I offer full-service planning and installation of plants for your new garden, as well as:

• Ornamental and edible gardens and orchards

• Meadow preparation and seeding

• Small hardscape installation

Estimates vary based on scale and materials.

Care

Beyond-organic garden care with a focus on the health of your family and your ecosystem, covering all tasks required in the maintenance of an ornamental garden, including:

• Weeding and nuisance plant management

• Pruning ornamental and orchard trees

• Perennial division and propagation

• Integrated pest management

• Spring garden cleanup
